About the Internship Program

The Ushur Technical Consultant Internship is a full-time, hands-on professional development program designed for candidates who have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the United States with prior industry experience.

This internship provides the opportunity to work directly with enterprise customers, solution architects, and implementation teams to design, build, and deploy AI-powered customer experience automation solutions on the Ushur platform.

Interns will receive structured training, mentorship, and real-world project ownership while learning how to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Successful interns who demonstrate strong technical aptitude, customer-facing skills, ownership, and delivery excellence may be considered for conversion into a full-time Technical Consultant role upon completion of the internship.

About the Role

As a Technical Consultant Intern, you will work closely with Ushur's Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support customer implementations and digital transformation initiatives.

You will participate in customer discovery sessions, assist with solution design and configuration, support integrations, contribute to testing activities, and help deliver enterprise-grade automation and AI solutions.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about enterprise technology, AI, automation, customer engagement platforms, and solving complex business problems through technology.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, configure, test, and deploy customer automation solutions on the Ushur platform alongside senior consultants.
  2. Participate in customer discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions to capture business needs.
  3. Support the implementation of AI-powered customer engagement workflows, conversational experiences, and automation journeys.
  4. Translate business requirements into workflow designs, data mappings, and technical specifications and maintain supporting documentations
  5. Build and troubleshoot integrations using APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML payloads, with third-party systems.
  6. Assist with prompt engineering, context design, and testing of AI-powered workflows and agentic experiences.
  7. Support evaluation and validation of agentic AI outputs, including testing multi-step reasoning flows, reviewing model responses for accuracy, and flagging edge cases for the engineering team.
  8. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect validation, and production readiness activities.
  9. Analyze customer issues, investigate root causes, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on resolutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree completed in the United States in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Prior internship or project experience involving enterprise software implementations or technical consulting.
  • Exposure to AI/LLM technologies, prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic workflow concepts.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, REST, JSON/XML, data transformation, and SDLC/Agile methodologies, with hands-on exposure to at least one programming or scripting language (Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platform architectures and integration patterns across CRM, contact center, healthcare, insurance, or financial services systems
  • Certifications related to cloud technologies, AI, analytics, or software development are a plus.

Internship Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time Internship
  • Duration: 6–12 Months
  • Location: Bay Area, CA
  • Compensation: $30-33/hour
  • Work Model: Hybrid. Candidates must be able to work from Ushur's headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, a minimum of three (3) days per week. Additional in-office presence may be required based on team and customer needs.
  • Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Ushur welcomes applications from international candidates, including those on F-1 OPT or CPT. Ushur will consider visa sponsorship, including H-1B, for candidates who convert to full-time roles.
  • Conversion Opportunity: High-performing interns will be considered for conversion to a full-time Technical Consultant position based on performance, business needs, and demonstrated capability.
