About the Role

The Professional Services team at Ushur works as a bridge between customers, sales, product and engineering teams to ensure the successful sale, onboarding, expansion and renewal of our customers. As a Technical Consultant Intern, you will support live customer implementations alongside senior consultants and solution architects, building AI-powered customer experience automation solutions on the Ushur platform.

You will participate in customer discovery, assist with solution design and configuration, support integrations, and contribute to testing and production readiness. You will receive structured training, mentorship and real project ownership from week one.

This role suits candidates who are early in their career, want hands-on exposure to enterprise AI rather than theory, and are interested in solving business problems in our go-to-market industries of insurance, healthcare and financial services.

Who This Role Is Open To

We are hiring across two tracks. The work, mentorship and conversion opportunity are the same for both; the engagement terms differ.

• Student Track — You are in the final year of your degree and your institute requires or permits a 3–6 month internship as part of the programme. You will join as an intern for the duration approved by your institute.
• Graduate Track — You have completed your degree (2025 or 2026 batch) with 0–1 years of experience. You will join as a full-time intern for a defined period of 3–6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, configuration, testing and deployment of customer automation solutions on the Ushur platform alongside senior consultants
• Participate in customer discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions to capture business needs
• Support the implementation of AI-powered customer engagement workflows, conversational experiences and automation journeys
• Translate business requirements into workflow designs, data mappings and technical specifications, and maintain supporting documentation
• Build and troubleshoot integrations using APIs, webhooks and JSON/XML payloads with third-party systems
• Assist with prompt engineering, context design and testing of AI-powered workflows and agentic experiences
• Support evaluation and validation of agentic AI outputs, including testing multi-step reasoning flows, reviewing model responses for accuracy, and flagging edge cases for the engineering team
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect validation and production readiness activities
• Analyse customer issues, investigate root causes and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on resolutions
• Support product development and bug tracking using Zoho and Jira

Qualifications

Educational

• B.E. / B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., or MBA / PGDM (Information Systems, Business Analytics) from a recognised university, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline

Technical

• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for using AI tools to enhance efficiency and innovation
• Hands-on exposure to at least one programming or scripting language — Python, JavaScript or Java
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and Postman
• Ability to read and interpret JSON and XML payloads
• Understanding of data mapping and transformation between systems
• Basic SQL — SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY
• Exposure to AI/LLM technologies, prompt engineering, RAG or agentic workflow concepts
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably Amazon AWS — good to have
• Exposure to low-code / no-code platforms — good to have
• Certifications in cloud technologies, AI, analytics or software development — good to have

Functional/Behavioral

• Academic projects, capstone work or prior internship experience involving software implementation, integrations or technical consulting
• Awareness of Agile delivery practices and the software development lifecycle
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, technical and non-technical personnel
• Strong problem solving skills and a structured approach to debugging
• Startup DNA is a must: willing and able to do "whatever it takes" with motivation to find solutions rather than admire the challenge
• Customer-first behavior
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with comfort working with US-based teams and some overlap into US business hours
