Machine Learning Model

[ muh-sheen lur-ning mod-l ]
noun

A machine learning model is the trained result of a learning algorithm: given new input, such as a message or document, it returns a prediction, score or category.

Why it matters in customer experience

Models power steps like understanding intent, classifying emails and extracting data from documents. In an agentic platform they work together with workflows and integrations so that the prediction leads to a completed task. See intelligent document automation.
