Mobile Application

[ moh-buhl ap-li-key-shuhn ]
noun

A mobile application is software designed to run on smartphones and tablets, usually downloaded from an app store. Many organizations offer apps for account access, payments and service requests.

Why it matters in customer experience

Apps work well for frequent users, but many customers never download them or forget their logins. For occasional tasks such as renewals, claims or document requests, reaching people by text or a secure web link often gets a higher response.

How Ushur approaches it

Ushur's Invisible App delivers app-like experiences through SMS and web links with nothing to download. See also two-way texting.
